Family Service & Sunday School
Every Sunday morning we meet at 11.30am for about an hour to worship God in a way that caters for all ages. We follow a Sunday School syllabus and usually have a visiting speaker. The 1st half of the service incorporates the singing of hymns and choruses, a children’s talk and a refresher on previous week’s lessons. Sometimes we will take time to learn the books of the Bible or do ‘Draw Your Swords’ to aid in finding passages in the Bible. Although aimed at the children there is much for all ages to enjoy and learn in this part.
The children will then go through to their classes to learn more from the story of the week and to do leaflets and other activities. These may include quizzes, artwork or even drama.
Meanwhile the visiting speaker will then expound the passage in more depth for the adults in the congregation with the intention of drawing out the most important lessons and applying them to our daily lives.
This service is attended by both Christians and non-Christians and is an ideal introduction to the teachings of the Bible about God, the Lord Jesus, sin and salvation. All are welcome to come and enjoy fellowship with us.

Coffee Morning
A coffee morning is held at Cherith on Tuesday of each week from 10.45am to 12 noon. All are welcome, young and old alike. The morning is usually informal and unstructured, with the opportunity to talk, exchange ideas and generally get to know one another. Occasionally we have a guest speaker, and often one of our number will give a ‘thought for the day’. Many of those who come are Christians, but some are not. Do join us if you are able, you will be assured of excellent homemade cake and coffee, and a very warm welcome.
